ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare cold food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over prepare estimated needs.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
  • Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
  • Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Crescent standards.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
  • Prepares all colds foods for banquet meals according to standard recipes to ensure consistency of product to the guest.
  • Visually inspects, selects and uses only food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Employee will maintain control charts of all food items produced and be responsible for opening and closing checklists and production of daily menu items.
  • Set up, produce, and control quality of all food items
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Other duties include being able to read, follow menus and recipes, compute basic mathematical calculations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule
  • Minimum of two years experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check
