Job Description:

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Conway, AR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue and market share. You will oversee all sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize hotel profitability.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales performance, market trends, and business forecasts for senior management.
  • Work closely with the revenue management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue from room sales and other hotel services.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate new business leads.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Solid understanding of revenue management principles and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) certification is a plus.
