Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving financial performance. This leadership role requires strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to delivering unparalleled hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: Provide effective leadership to the hotel team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and guest-centric service. Direct and supervise department heads, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.

Guest Experience: Champion a guest-centric approach to service delivery, ensuring guests receive the highest level of hospitality and satisfaction. Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to continuously enhance the guest experience.

Operational Excellence: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and administrative functions. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Financial Performance: Drive revenue generation and profitability through strategic planning, budgeting, and revenue management initiatives. Monitor financial performance, analyze key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.

Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and execute strategies to maximize hotel occupancy, revenue, and market share. Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, travel agencies, and local partners.

Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team capable of delivering exceptional service and achieving operational excellence. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to ensure employee engagement and retention.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and hotel policies related to safety, security, and cleanliness. Implement effective risk management practices to mitigate potential liabilities.

Community Engagement: Act as a brand ambassador for the Warwick Hotel Rittenhouse Square within the local community, participating in community events, initiatives, and partnerships to enhance the hotel's reputation and visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in hotel management or senior leadership role, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower a diverse team
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
  • Solid understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of local market trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions
  • Certification in Hotel Management or related field (e.g., CHA, CHT, CMP) is a plus
