Job Summary: Senior Group Sales Manager - Hyatt Centric Wall Street, New York, NY

Join our dynamic team at Hyatt Centric Wall Street as our Senior Group Sales Manager, where your sales expertise will be pivotal in driving our hotel's success! In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for achieving ambitious revenue and market share goals while mentoring and guiding a talented sales team. Your focus will be on soliciting and securing new accounts, as well as nurturing relationships with existing clients. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales, you’ll help shape the future of our property and elevate the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Sales Initiatives: Achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets, while mentoring team members to meet solicitation call objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Proactively conduct high-level sales calls, host tours, and entertain key clients to build and maintain strong relationships within your assigned market.
  • Market Insight: Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and strategic improvement.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with Hyatt’s established regulations, sales metrics, and hospitality standards.
  • Community Involvement: Maintain a strong presence in the local community and industry organizations to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend meetings, participate in promotions, and lead initiatives aimed at boosting overall sales performance.
  • Versatile Responsibilities: Assist with any additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Director of Sales.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous hotel sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven ability to engage clients using professional selling techniques, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong mentoring abilities to guide and develop junior sales team members.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, influence, and connect with clients and colleagues.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
