Job Title: Sales Coordinator – Group Rooms

Location: Marriott Metairie & Long Island Marriott

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator – Group Rooms to support our sales team across Marriott Metairie and Long Island Marriott. The ideal candidate will have prior Marriott experience and extensive hands-on experience with CI, Opera, and MARSHAA. This role involves coordinating group reservations, managing room blocks, and ensuring seamless communication between sales, revenue management, and front desk teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage group room blocks, ensuring accurate entry and maintenance in CI, Opera, and MARSHAA.

  • Coordinate with clients, sales managers, and operational teams to ensure seamless group bookings.

  • Assist in preparing group contracts, rooming lists, and updating group reservations.

  • Monitor inventory, rates, and cut-off dates to optimize occupancy and revenue.

  • Communicate with clients regarding reservation details, billing, and special requests.

  • Support the sales team with reports, follow-ups, and administrative tasks.

  • Ensure all Marriott brand standards and procedures are followed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Prior Marriott experience is required.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with CI, Opera, and MARSHAA is a must.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
