JOB SUMMARY
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, booking, and coordinating ethnic and social events, ensuring they exceed sales goals and are flawlessly executed with a focus on customer satisfaction.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Education: High School Diploma required; 4-year degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in catering/events, with 2 years in a leadership role
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering software a plus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales & Business Development: Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business through outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, networking, etc., while maximizing banquet space to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Event Planning & Execution: Coordinate events, collaborating with clients and culinary teams to create tailored, culturally-rich experiences.
  • Budget & Revenue Management: Ensure events meet financial targets while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Market Leadership: Stay ahead of trends and competitors, ensuring the property is a leader in ethnic and social events.
  • Customer Service: Address client issues promptly, ensuring positive experiences and repeat business.
  • Client Engagement: Plan, up-sell, and detail the meeting/function with clients, including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, and decorations, ensuring a seamless execution of the event.
  • Reporting & Administration: Prepare status and end-of-period reports, maintaining accurate records of bookings, contracts, BEOs, and client communications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, operations, and culinary teams to ensure cohesive event planning and flawless delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve customer issues, complaints, and challenges while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to hotel safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment and reporting accidents or injuries in a timely manner.
  • Other Responsibilities: Participate in necessary meetings, conference calls, and special projects as needed. Ensure your work area is clear and efficient.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of driving sales and exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the Boca Raton market and cultural trends
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
