JOB SUMMARY

Maintenance Engineer is responsible for completing all maintenance and engineering duties and repairs all furniture and equipment, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, windows, flooring, locks, painting, and other aspects of the Hotel.


EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years Maintenance Engineer experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Take regular action to keep guest rooms and areas fully operable for guest comfort and safety and the work environment safe for fellow associates.

• Maintains the inventory of maintenance repair supplies, parts, and items needed for the completion of work orders.

• Respond courteously to guest requests promptly and resolve matters to the guest’s satisfaction.

• Help with ground upkeep.

• Help keep the mechanical areas safe, orderly, and clean and maintain legible, orderly records.

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment performance data.

• Identify opportunities for improvement in the maintenance program and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

This job description is not limited to only the above duties, the Director may require other tasks and duties to be performed in this role.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Some lifting may be required. This position may require 75%+ or more of time on their feet.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
