Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor

Reports To: Restaurant Manager/General Manager

Job Summary: The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure an outstanding guest experience. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring adherence to company policies, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and a commitment to maintaining a positive, productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Supervision:
    • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Ensure high standards of customer service and handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Monitor and respond to customer feedback to improve service quality.
    • Ensure the dining experience exceeds guest expectations.
  3. Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
    • Assist in menu planning and development.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Assist in managing the restaurant’s budget and financial performance.
    • Monitor sales and expenses to achieve financial targets.
    • Handle cash management and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
    • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant at all times.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  6. Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare reports on sales, labor, and inventory.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee schedules and attendance.
    • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a restaurant supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and restaurant management software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
