Job Title: Sales Manager (Full-Time, On Property)

Overview: We are seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to drive customer acquisition and achieve our revenue growth objectives at Hyatt Regency Deerfield, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for total room, banquet, catering, and overall hotel revenue, including yield strategies and market performance. This is a full-time, on-property position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for hotel rooms and food and beverage.
  • Implement and execute strategic sales plans to optimize revenue and market performance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, hotel management, the sales team, and the corporate office.
  • Manage large group arrivals, departures, and special requests efficiently.
  • Create reports to track sales performance, budget adherence, and forecasting.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience; or a 4-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with at least 4 years of hotel sales experience.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience required.
  • Familiarity with Hyatt Sales Systems, STR Reports, and Opera PMS is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Sales Manager Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager in a hotel is preferred.
  • Previous roles as a sales executive, sales manager, or sales and marketing director are beneficial.
  • Experience in a Hyatt environment is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, business plan preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and the Indianapolis hotel market.
  • Proven ability to maximize sales and develop new business opportunities.
  • Experience in creating client-focused, differentiated, and achievable sales solutions.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to teach, train, and develop the sales team.
