Position: General Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team at Fairfield Inn Columbia, MO. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, staff management, financial performance, and property maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the hospitality industry and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest service are maintained throughout the hotel.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, including sales and marketing initiatives, cost control measures, and revenue management strategies.
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff to ensure a high level of performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee property maintenance and ensure that the hotel is well-maintained and in compliance with all safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and professional growth.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets.
  • Thorough understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and sales.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
